"The intimate classroom setting allows you to have a personal connection to your peers and professors."
What makes Pepperdine different than other schools?
Pepperdine's flexibility with schedule and location are key to the working professional. You will also notice the intimate classroom setting, which allows you to have a personal connection to your peers and professors. All of this helps to build experiences and not just a degree.
Who was your favorite professor and why?
There are several professors who stand out − Kenneth Ko for his ease and wit with his students, Dr. G for his passion and wisdom, John Buckingham for his insight and knowledge, and Mark Chun for his energy and engagement. These professors have each broadened my interest in their subject matter by adding life and excitement to class discussions. They will leave lasting impressions on me throughout my career and personal life.
What advice would you give to future students going to business school?
Identify what you want to get out of school and stand by it. Whether it's career advancement, business perspective, social engagement, or personal challenge, you must have a goal in mind. When enduring long hours away from home, investing a lot of money in your education, and spending time and energy with your classmates, you must constantly remind yourself that it is all worth it to achieve your goals in the end. Along the way, you will also learn things about yourself, other people, and the world, that will surely last a lifetime.
