Why did you choose the Graziadio School?
Community involvement has always played a role in my life. So when I found Pepperdine, and realized that they, too, were dedicated to serving the community and really focusing on leadership skills that are grounded in service, I found that to be really refreshing. I'm very happy that I was able to attend Pepperdine. So, now as I move on, I'm going to continue to volunteer as I have been doing and continue to reach out to my community.
What was one of your most rewarding experiences?
I was really surprised to enroll in a financial strategy class that only had 12 students. This meant that any time I needed to have access to an amazing professor, I was able to reach her. She was able to give us honest and direct feedback right away. This helped me grow, learn, and really hone those strategic skills that were necessary to make business decisions.
What's the value of choosing a program in Southern California?
Being in Los Angeles not only provides the local Pepperdine network, which is a large, but there's also many industries to select from -- whether that's entertainment, auto industry, or pharmaceuticals. And because I was seeking an MBA for a career change, it was important for me to have access to a variety of industries.
