Local Travel Information

The nearest major airport is Los Angeles International airport (LAX), which has excellent domestic and international connections, and is located about 28 miles from the Pepperdine main campus.

Those planning to make their own way to their hotel should arrange for transportation (shuttlebus, cab, or rental car) from LAX before you leave home. LAX is approximately a 45-minute drive from Pepperdine. There is no public-system bus that is convenient.

Reservations are strongly recommended. If you do not make an advance reservation, after Baggage Claim, go to the Ground Transportation Courtesy Telephones and dial 56737 or call 800-262-RIDE from any public telephone to call a shuttle.

When you exit Baggage Claim, cross to the outer island and wait under a blue Van Stop sign.

Taxi

Several taxicab companies are authorized to serve Los Angeles International Airport. The distance from the airport to Malibu is approximately 28 miles. One-way cab fare ranges from $75 to $110. You should agree with the driver on the fare before you get into the cab. A reservation is not needed.
