Robert M. Simpson, Jr. is president and COO of Jelly Belly Candy Company, a family-owned company manufacturing Jelly Belly® jelly beans made famous by President Ronald Reagan. Today the company features more than 100 gourmet confections that are marketed and sold to more than 35 countries worldwide. Simpson is responsible for the company’s executive and operational functions in national and international markets and oversees retail operations at company-owned stores as well. He joined Jelly Belly after a 30-year career with Raley’s, Inc., a Northern California-based supermarket chain.
