Jim recently was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of UST, a grantor trust created by and for nonprofit organizations that reduces unemployment costs.

Currently, Jim is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Pacific Clinics, one of the largest private nonprofit behavioral healthcare agencies providing outpatient services in Southern California. He has more than 25 years of combined human services and healthcare management experience. His expertise includes operations and strategic planning, along with organizational and business development. He has held key management and consulting positions with a number of Los Angeles-based mental health agencies, behavioral healthcare organizations, human services agencies, and medical groups.

Jim currently serves on the board of directors of the Association of Community Human Service Agencies, and is a former member of the board of the California Council of Community Mental Health Agencies. Jim served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received a special commendation award for meritorious service from the Secretary of the Navy.

Matthew recently founded the South Shores Business and Leadership Network (SSBLN) in Monarch Beach, CA. The SSBLN is a faith based network/ministry aimed towards connecting people of faith in the business world and empowering them to integrate their faith and business practices while serving their communities.

SSBLN has already had its first luncheon, which was attended by 75 people. The next event on Friday, June 4, welcomes featured speaker Stephen Christensen, founder of faithandworklife.org.

“We are very excited about our third event coming up on Friday, August 27,” said Matthew. “That is when Linda Livingstone, dean of the Graziadio School of Business and Management, will be the featured speaker. We are also teaming up with the Graziadio Alumni Network in support of the event and to stress our schools moto: Freely you receive, freely shall you give.” continue

Lee was elected president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association for Business Economics for the 2010/2011 year. He previously serves as vice president. Founded in 1968 by local prominent economists, LANABE provides a forum for business and economic issues and a network for local economists in Southern California and those interested in business economics. Los Angeles NABE has been addressed by members of the Federal Reserve Board, chief economists from Fortune 500 companies, Nobel Laureates, senior government policy makers, as well as directors of national economic forecasting services.

Lea recently became CEO and president of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the board of the Hispanic Chamber for five years and became the interim CEO and president in August, after the then-president stepped down. An entrepreneur, she and husband started a chain of gas stations and later opened a business-brokerage firm.

Tom has been named president of the California Avocado Commission. He joined the Commission in 1994, and served as senior vice president and corporate counsel until he was appointed to acting president last year. Prior to joining the Commission, Tom worked with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, American Brandy Association, and the USA Pea & Lentil Council.
