Dr. Mallette is the co-author of the recently published book Writing for Conferences (Greenwood, 2011), which he co-wrote with  Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology EdD student, Clare Berger. Dr. Mallette is also an adjunct Graziadio School of Business and Management faculty member.

Dr. Mallette’s book explains the conference publication process step-by-step and answers all of the questions asked by students inexperienced in publishing. The book is also a reference manual for previously published authors, providing insight on ethics in publishing, dress and grooming, presentation tips, and networking techniques to develop further research and career opportunities.

“In grad school for my doctorate in about 2004 I noticed that many students had not published,” Mallette says, of the inspiration for the work. “Submitting articles to peer reviewed journals is one basis for judging research productivity and journal articles often start as a conference article. I wanted to share my years of experience about the subject with my fellow students. But there were no books on the subject and precious few articles that talked about it.” continue

Allen recently joined NATEL Engineering Co. as director of the Natel Production System and vice president of procurement. He brings more than 16 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge leading manufacturing organizations and outstanding leadership with expertise in Lean and Six Sigma practices, team building, and training.

David has been named senior vice president – Program Management for the Industrial Sector by industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation. In this new role, he will report directly to Bradley J. Morton, President – Aerospace Group, and will be responsible for Program Management functional excellence across Eaton’s Industrial Sector. Dave comes to Eaton from The Boeing Company where he served as vice president and general manager of the Global Mobility Systems Division and the vice president and program manager for the C-17 program.

Dave is a 2010 recipient of the Graziadio School’s Distinguished Alumnus Award. Addressing commencement ceremonies, he delivered an inspired keynote speech, noting that Pepperdine’s Christian tradition was an important part of his decision to pursue a Graziadio degree and urging graduates to lead by helping others to connect to their future.

Based in Cleveland, Eaton Corporation is a diversified power management company with 2009 sales of $11.9 billion.

Kevin was named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Aerosonic Corp., a manufacturer of aviation products for commercial, business and military aircraft in Clearwater, VA. Previously, Kevin was vice president and chief financial officer at Herley Industries Inc. and vice president of finance, contracts and compliance at Smiths Aerospace LLC. He also has worked in the government contractor advisory services group of KPMG.

Michael, a former director of corporate business development at Raytheon Company, has been named senior vice president of business development for EOD Technology, Inc. In this capacity, Mr. King will be responsible for all facets of business development, strategic planning, congressional relations, proposal operations and communications. EOD Technology, Inc. is an industry leader for integrated Munitions Response, Security, Critical Mission Support, and Range Sustainment services, headquartered in Lenoir City, TN.
