Tony recently accepted a position as a relationship manager at Wells Fargo Capital Finance. This is Tony’s second position with the company; until just last month, he was a syndications analyst. He has also held positions at STN Media Group and Merrill Lynch.
Tony is a 2006 graduate of San Diego State University, where he majored in finance. He was highly active in a number of student groups and fraternities, including: Theta Chi Fraternity – 2001 to 2006: Citation of Honor (Awarded by International Headquarters for Outstanding Service to the Fraternity), Dean Strasser Award (Exemplary Leadership), Golden Granite Brother Award (Outstanding Service),Vice President, Recruitment Director, Secretary, Social Chairman, Formal Directo.
Tony received his MBA in 2010 from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, where he concentrated in finance and was heavily active in the school’s Net Impact and Finance Clubs.

Lorin Cha, MBA 2010

Lorin recently accepted a position as fulfillment operations project lead at DIRECTV. He was promoted from his former position, UAT project lead.
Until March of last year, he was the owner and principal at Lorin Cha Consultancy. He has also held positions with Ticketmaster, The Walt Disney Company, SMCI, and more.
He attended Arizona State University, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems. His minor concentration was Chinese (Mandarin). He is a 2010 graduate of Pepperdine University’s MBA program at the Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Viviana Arellano Delgado, MBA ’10

Viviana has joined Farmers Insurance (Zurich Financial Services) and will be partaking in their Global Associate Program, an intensive curriculum which includes personal mentoring and classroom training by top Zurich leaders.
The Global Associates Program is highly elite, annually recruiting only 80 talented graduates from around the world to enroll. Viviana will gain experience in at least two countries while exploring the company’s core functions in the areas of claims, finance, information technology, risk engineering, and underwriting, among others. She’ll soon be embarking on a four-week training session in Zurich, Switzerland.
Viviana has spent the last three years as a recruitment coordinator for Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management’s Fully Employed program. As a member of the Graziadio School’s recruitment department, she has been instrumental in developing business processes, developing and analyzing various recruitment strategies, and reaching out to prospective students to generate candidate interest.
Viviana also has previous work experience in the insurance sector, as well as Hispanic marketing.
Viviana has not only built her career at Pepperdine; she’s also a two-time graduate, receiving her bachelor of science in management in 2009, and later earning her MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship in 2010.
“Pepperdine’s education helped me develop my leadership skills, increase my professional network and most importantly, build strong friendships that will last a lifetime,” Viviana said. “Along with a solid education, I’ll be taking the confidence and values Pepperdine has instilled in me over the last four years to my next endeavor, and others to follow.
Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, Viviana moved to the United States in 2000. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Jorge (MBA ’09).

Roland D. Kelly, PKE ’10

Roland will receive the 2011 Distinguished Alumnus of the College of Business and Economics from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) on October 6. A 1956 graduate of CSULA, Roland will accept his award at the Alumni Awards, an event designed to pay tribute to alumni, faculty and students who manifest outstanding achievement in their professional fields, in service to their communities, in public service, in academic pursuits and in service to the University.
Roland is chairman of Spectrum Asset Management, Inc., a manager of preferred securities, with over $14.1 billion in assets under management. Spectrum was founded in 1987 and has been a wholly owned and independently run affiliate of Principal Global Investors, a member of the Principal Financial Group®, since 2001. Spectrum has a team of sixteen dedicated investment professionals and is based in Stamford, Connecticut.
Roland is a 2010 graduate of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management Presidents and Key Executives program, an elite MBA degree offered exclusively to executive visionaries and “C-level” business leaders.

Shaghayegh Farsijani, MBA ’10

Shaghayegh very recently published her first book of poems, entitled Lacking Lips of Time. The book is a sensuous/romantic poetry collection that bridges the conscious mind with the passion of the heart. Through these collection of poems there are reasons to see the sunset, gaze at the night stars, and listen to nature’s muteness.
According to Shaghayegh, “It will take you into the unknown land called life and then- Let go of your hand to experience its mysteries alone. In a place where only you know the destination…”

Shaghayegh is a 2007 graduate of California State University-Fullerton where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism. She is also a 2010 MBA graduate of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Brian Jenkins, MBA ’10

Brian recently accepted a position with Hewlett-Packard as a human resources management associate. In his new role, Brian will split his time between performance management and executive recruiting, focusing on HP’s Accelerated Top Talent Development Program, as well as employee engagement and recognition.
Prior to his new position with HP, Brian was a human resources project manager at Pelco, and before that, a consultant for CompUSA. continue

Frankie Warren, MBA ’10

Frankie has committed the next year to his new role as a Princeton in Africa Fellow and financial analyst at eleQtra. The Princeton in Africa project develops young leaders committed to Africa’s advancement by offering fellowship opportunities with a variety of organizations that work across the African continent.
Since the organization’s launch in 1999, over 250 fellows have been placed in 31 countries. This year, 34 recent graduates, including Frankie, are working with organizations in 14 countries. He’ll be focusing his work in the city of Kampala, the largest city and capital of Uganda.
“I am working on various projects including building two new ferries, a solar power generation system and a commuter railway (amongst other things),” said Frankie of his work thus far. “I am primarily on the finance side, but will be spending a lot of my time running around on the ground and interfacing with the Ugandan government to make sure licenses are permits are in order.”

Frankie is a 2007 graduate of Boston College, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He later earned his master of business administration at the Graziadio School of Business and Management. He also earned a master of public administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania earlier this year.

Rich Danker, MBA ’10

Rich has been appointed as an advisor to TheGoldStandardNow.org, a project of The Lehrman Institute.

Robert has taken on the position of supervisor of warehouse operations at Coca-Cola Refreshments, USA Inc. In his newest role, Robert will be managing the warehouse and tracking financial metrics. He’s also been instrumental in managing and recycling and recovery programs.
Robert received a bachelor of science in management from Pepperdine University ‘s Graziadio School of Business and Management, from where he later earned an MBA.

Pratish Shah, MBA ’10

Pratish’s company Locaxion, a developer of iPhone applications for sports enthusiasts, have announced a partnership with the Nicklaus Companies, a global leader in the golf business, to launch Jack Nicklaus ShotView, an all-in-one iPhone application to help golfers learn and fine-tune their game.
Features of the iPhone application include an interactive GPS rangefinder, aerial imagery, a
personal caddy, scorekeeping capabilities for your entire group, graphical statistics on your overall game, and other helpful, fun and informative tools. ShotView is available on Apple’s iTunes App Store.
Locaxion had the winning concept at the Fifth Annual Pepperdine University 2009 Business Plan Competition, winning the team a $15,000 grand prize with AirVue Golf, a product similar to ShotView. continue
