Meet Our Dean
Deryck J. van Rensburg is the ninth dean of the Graziadio School, having joined Pepperdine University in 2016. He brings 32 years of global business experience with The Coca-Cola Company and Unilever PLC. Recently at Coca-Cola, he was President of Global Ventures reporting to their Chairman and CEO. He was also President of Venturing and Emerging Brands responsible for identifying and developing businesses with $1 billion potential via entrepreneurial partnering, corporate venture capital investment, intrapreneurial incubation, and acquisition. His work has been featured as part of the 2009 CNBC original documentary title "Coca-Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing". In 2011, he was nominated by Advertising Age magazine as one of 21 'Influencers' reshaping media and marketing, and was also nominated to the Global 100 Corporate Venturing Powerlist in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Dean van Rensburg holds a DBA from the University of Manchester, an MBA with distinction from the University of Bath, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University.
